THE WELCOME MESSAGE
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the organizing committee, we cordially invite you to join BIT’s 1st Annual Low Carbon Earth Summit (LCES-2011) with the theme of “Leading the Green Economy, Returning to Harmony with Nature”, which is held during October 19-26, 2011 at Dalian World Exposition Center, China.
The aim of LCES-2011 is to provide a world-class meeting place for information exchanges and trade fairs to promote low carbon economy, and to differentiate the summit from other conferences by covering more comprehensive issues from both public and private sectors regarding the anticipated climate change. We also hope such an initiative can meet the challenges and demands facing societies in developing practical solutions under international standards to support climate change control. Meanwhile, we will offer a universal platform of scientific and technical communication for decision makers, researchers, industrial participants, business leaders and beyond. LCES-2011 will support new business development with the opportunities to learn from others experiences in this field, to identify ways to play an even more active role in control of global climate change, and to seize further green investment opportunities for innovators and entrepreneurs worldwide.
Dalian, the most beautiful coastal city in northern China, is keen on making great efforts in improving the environment and reducing the causes of climate change. As a new champion among green economy practitioners in China, Dalian has successfully hosted the annual Summer World Economy Forum, Davos three times in 2007, 2009 and 2011. With the increasing demand for knowledge-based economy in designing and building the “Great Dalian,” Low Carbon will be implemented in every industrial sector in the city’s growth.
Lastly, we hope that you could show your enthusiasm and make contributions to this event and enjoy your stay in Dalian. We are sure that you will bring home an unforgettable memory from LCES-2011.
Sincerely Yours,
Mr. Bozhou Li
