DRESSING CODES

Suits and ties are recommended for the Opening Ceremony and Formal Forum or Business Sessions of the conference. For all other sessions the organizing committee suggests casual dress, except for those who are presenting, in order to save on air conditioning at this large conference.

The LCES-2011 organizing committee wishes the dress code to follow the spirit of the most environmentally friendly conferences and hopes that all participants will conduct discussions in a more comfortable environment in order to limit the use of air conditioning and thereby reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The conference will set an example for future low carbon conferences where the goal will be to use less carbon, save energy, and reduce carbon emissions from trivial details or operations.
